Who we are

The Tri-Cities, Washington chapter was started in January 2002. We are a group of volunteers who make blankets that are distributed through local agencies and organizations.

If you are interested, there are many ways to help. Blankets of many sizes and types (see our blanket guidelines), quilted or tied quilts, knitted or crocheted afghans, and, fleece blankets are accepted. We also accept donated supplies such as kid friendly print cotton fabric, fleece yardage, and acrylic yarn. And, of course, cash donations are always appreciated.

We keep in touch through our newsletter and get together for “workparties” several times each month. For dates and locations check out our calendar.

If you have any questions please feel free to contact anyone on our Contact page.

Project Linus Mission:

First, it is our mission to provide love, a sense of security, warmth, and comfort to children who are seriously ill, traumatized or otherwise in need through the gifts of new, handmade blankets and afghans, lovingly created by volunteer “blanketeers”.

Second, it is our mission to provide a rewarding and fun service opportunity for interested individuals and groups in local communities for the benefit of children.
